" Great shaver, poor refill quality ",

I bought my husband the Series 7 shaver years ago and he loved it until we had to replace the razor. The replacements are horrible! They will either pop out (and yes, we bought the correct refill) or they don’t shave as close as the original razor cartridge that came with it. I often hear him swearing at it. He now shaves less because he does want to deal with it, but won’t break down and purchase a different one. I’m not a fan of beards. I’ll be looking for a different brand for His Christmas gift this year.

This is a follow up to my previous review. Braun responded to my complaint with a number to call in. I called them and they handled the matter with complete professionalism. They repeatedly apologized and said that they would send me a replacement razor head. When I received it, it was of the quality that I expected and have always experienced before the last faulty ones. They explained that it's possible that a faulty one or two can slip through but if it ever happens again to call them and they will handle the matter. The Series 7 is a great product and I would still recommend it!

I was planning to purchase a Series 7 today however after looking at the replacement head issues associated with the reviews on this web site it might be in my best interest to stay with Norelco. What a shame looks like a nice razor. There are too many of the same comments of it not to be a real issue.

I have tried two replacement heads in the past three months that are terrible. The razor now barely shaves and feels like it's pulling my hair out. It takes 4 times longer to shave my face. I'm not getting a clean, close shave like I was with the original razor purchased a few years ago and previous replacement heads. I used a new replacement in October that was bad, figured maybe it was a one time thing and bought another new one that is also terrible. What a waste of money. The quality of the replacement blades has gone bad - my experience is the same as the other reviewers. I clean my shaver daily and with solution once a week.
